First Memories

The older I get the more I lose.  Hand-eye coordination, flexibility, stamina, concentration and memories are just a few of the things I lose daily.  The memories bother me the most at the moment.  I have been struggling to recall what I would consider a first memory.  One of my goals for this blog is to store some of my memories and what they mean to me.  So for the past couple of days I have been casting backwards into my memories to see if I could identify my first real memory.  Some memories are implanted by other people by telling you what you did or what happened.  I want a memory that is all mine and not as told to me by someone else.

     Looking out at the stars at night I begin to get a feeling of how small and insignificant we are.

Philosophical Meanderings

Our existence has been on my mind lately.  I was watching a show on the History Channel about "Battles of the Bible".  The program focused on battle descriptions and the history behind them as presented in the bible.  One portion really caught my attention as it described the battle of Jericho.

First Post

Wanting to do this for a long time, I finally decided to record my viewpoints. I initially want to record things just for myself. I am an aspiring writer, but have no illusions that I would ever be able to put anything of interest to anyone but myself. I intend to record my thoughts about religion, childhood, relationships, children, parenthood, philosophy, growing up and family (and anything else that passes through the caverns of my head :) )

To anyone that falls into these pages I will warn you ahead of time that my views range from bizarre to fundamentalist. I will not apologize for my views and may offend some people with some of my more unusual ideas. If you understand and are okay with this forewarning then read on.
